It freezes really well and can be used in so many different ways, including as the base for a hearty stew; as a pasta sauce (makes a lovely full-bodied lasagna); and it can even be turned into a tomato and roasted red pepper soup by adding a little vegetable stock.

Emily - Yes, this sauce is a real timesaver for those weekdays when you&#039;re rushed off your feet, or when you just can&#039;t be bothered spending more than a few brief minutes in the kitchen.

I&#039;ll see if I can track down a copy of &quot;Big Night.&quot; My favorite Italian opera singer at the moment is the late great Mario Lanza. We recently bought a CD of his called &quot;Song of Songs,&quot; and that man really did have golden tonsils!</description>
